I needed a cord extension for my z1 projector, so I went to my local frys to pick one up, but all they had were the outdoor ones, The guy at frys told me it can be used for indoors also and my projector should be fine, since I dont trust frys workers, I want your advice.

I bought a 50' out extension cord for my projector, the lamp in the projector is sesitive, so im afraid that outdoor cords may shorten the life of the bulb.
Can anyone tell me is its safe to use this power cord with my projector?

I plugs it in today and saw some sparks from my monster hts 2000 mkII power bar [IMG]

As long as the cord can handle the current (which it would) and it has 3 prongs then it can be used.
