I read the insightful primer on edge enhancement over at http://home.t-online.de/home/bjoern....l/Page_01.htm, but now I notice edge enhancement everywhere, even on my 36" TV.
Am I seeing things, or does Shrek have some slight edge enhancement? I definitely see halos, and to make sure it wasn't my sharpness setting (which I set using Avia), I turned the setting all the way down, and still see halos. Anyone else? I always thought Shrek looked incredible being a direct from digital transfer.
BTW, The Phantom Menace is annoying to watch now. I kinda wish I could go back to being ignorant...

I don't see much on my CRT projector. Your tv is probably adding it. Look for an option called Scan Velocity Modulation or similar. Sony sets have a "movie mode" which disables this dubious feature. TPM is probably one of the worst offenders [IMG]
