Thanks for the update. I will have to start taping this and will have to make do with this until there is a DVD release of this series.

Thanks for the info Patrick. I thought it was criminally insane of NBC to cancel this show. I'll be taping/watching this until the 1st season comes out on DVD.

Didn't realize we had so many fans of "Ed", but glad it's getting some love from TBS.

I wish they'd show the original pilot "Stuckeyville" - where they had all of the stuff that led up to Ed returning. They ended up condensing it down to a montage in the first aired episode because I think they recast Phil Stubbs (I think it was Donal Logue).

Ed is the only TV series my wife has ever told me she wants to buy as soon as it hits DVD. Syndication is the next best thing. [IMG] I missed a number of episodes of the second half of season one and the first half of season two, so I'm looking forward to this.

    Regards,

NO! My VCR didn't do the automatic Daylight's Savings Time reset it is supposed to do.

    So I missed. I can't believe I missed it...

This is great. Hopefully the chances of getting Ed on DVD get a little bit of a boost.

I didn't fare much better. I set my TiVo/DVD burner to record it. Well, it recorded it, but the picture was nothing but snow. Perfect audio, but an unwatchable picture. I am so bummed. [IMG]

The TV show Ed is now being shown on TBS several times a week. I just learned this last week and have been very happy since then. I liked this show alot when it was orinigally on and love being able to watch it again, plus I missed the series finale which they are airing sometime in the next week. I lost it off my Tivo from someone in the household. ARRGHH! So I cant wait to finally see the finale. I cant wait for the DVD's to be released whenever that is.

Well I finally got to see the series finally tonight and WOW! what a piss poor finally.
I cant believe how much I did not like it. It felt like they really missed the mark after the whole series was so good. They made Mike out to be a tool, the Warren stuff felt even more embarrassing and uncomfortable than they wanted it to be, and the whole circus wedding turned bowling alley wedding was just stupid and implausible. I was very let down by this episode, the only good parts were of Phil and Eli with a few good lines elsewhere.
I will definitely pick up the seasons when they finally hit DVD though as I loved the rest of the show. I really think they should have ended it when they thought they were getting cancelled at the end of season 3. That was a good way to go out. The fourth season felt tacked on like they all knew that it was the last season so they put everything out on the table and went with it.
But hey I could be wrong, what did you guys think of it?
