Beginning on the second full week in January, Ed will be moving to 9PM EST on Fridays. It will be sharing a timeslot with "Miss Match". Apparently, Ed will air through January and February without repeats. It will then end its season early, with Miss Match taking over the time slot, also without repeats.

NBC will be airing "The Apprentice", the new reality show from Mark Burnett featuring Donald Trump in Ed's current Wednesday night time-slot.

It is unclear to me whether this means we will get a full 22 episodes of Ed or not, though.

In the mean-time. The next new episode will be on December 10 in its regular Wednesday night time slot.

    Regards,

Damn NBC - breaking up my "Ed"/"West Wing" combo AGAIN!! [IMG]

I don't know why, but I just like watching these two back-to-back.

Look like it will be a slightly shorter season. 9 eps have been aired so far. Add one or two in December, and 8 in the Jan/Feb stretch, and you're looking at an 18-19 episode season.

If I remember right Ed did better in the ratings last year when it was on Friday's. Maybe it will pull in some better ratings and save it. Hopefully.....

Yeah. I honestly don't know why they moved it back to Wednesdays this fall, when it had done relatively well on Friday. I have to think Miss Match would have done a lot better in Ed's slot, as opposed to getting its clock cleaned by Joan Of Arcadia.

They should be showing new episodes Wednesdays, and a older rerun (S1/S2/S3) on Fridays!

NBC hasn't been keen on ED reruns since season one. They really should be giving new viewers the opportunity to catch old episodes, like WB has done with it's 'unprogrammable' Sunday 7pm slot-- 7th Heaven Beginnings, Gilmore Girls Beginnings, Smallville Beginnings.

At least ED is not being cancelled for a Law & Order rerun! ....yet.

My ultimate plan for improving the show's ratings involved changing the title to "Law & Order - Stuckeyville", but my e-mails to NBC brass have gone unanswered.
