ECLIPSE has launched a compact full-range speaker, the TD307MK3, which is the company’s first speaker product for seven years and replaces the former TD307MK2. Priced at $650 per pair, the speakers are intended for both music and home theater applications, with included wall and ceiling mounts for front, surround or height channels.
The Japanese-designed speakers use upgraded 6.5 cm full-range fibreglass drive units supported by larger ‘repulsive’ neodymium main and sub-magnet systems for greater power output and an increased frequency range of 80 Hz to 25 kHz. A new fibreglass cone achieves greater speed, lower vibration (50% reduction), greater dynamics and a lower noise floor than the MK2. The ovoid cabinet profile is capable of moving a greater volume of air.
