Wag the Dog would have been a great choice for "producer", as well. However, the show is only a half hour, so there are bound to be many omissions.

Last night's special edition of Ebert and Roeper was fascinating, and based on an interesting concept: the best films about film and filmmaking.
Nothing about Hollywood or American in there.

An American film worth mentioning as well is LIVING IN OBLIVION.
