Its a $2000+ laptop for $900 buy it now price, the seller has a 3000+ rating.

Active Link deleted by moderator. (Most laptop deals, too-good-to-be-true, on Ebay are scams - i.e. hijacked accounts listing such "deals" and then it turns really ugly after the buyer pays up and gets nothing in return)

Something is fishy here, I'm so tempted to jump on it tho...

So, the guy goes from selling plastic action figures to selling an Apple Powerbook and you're tempted?

There's an saying about this... If it looks too good to be true, it probably is....

Not to mention he doesn't explain why he has 3, or why they're so cheap etc.

But, hey, it's your money. [IMG]

No thats the thing, I didnt look at his other auctions, just the feedbacks. I had heard a while back about hijacked sellers but never saw one 'in the wild'.

It happened to me. Someone simply finds a way to list an item under your Ebay ID. It happens all the time on Ebay.

It happens most often because people fall for "phishing" e-mail that pretends to be from eBay, asking them to enter their user ID and password on a fake-login website.

email about renewing your account... You reply back a big
SCREW U.... They want you to give you Debit # Social Security number.. They will hijack you money in a new york second.

Ive read were it is a scam from Inda... They will also call
you asking you to change some money for them... They will send you a check and you give your account number and they make the run... It happens every DAY...
