EAX games, which speaker mode? (1 Viewer)

I have a new Sound Blaster Audigy that has EAX 3.0. MY speakers have several modes:

Dolby Digital
Quad
Pro Logic
Stereo
Stereo x2

I have a 4.1 speaker setup. What mode(s) support the EAX games best? I am assuming Dolby Digital is best? or is Quad supposed to be the one? any input would help.

Can you plug each individual speaker into the outputs onto the back of the Audigy? There should be 5.1 outputs on the card.
