Hi.

I have recently put together my entertainment center. I have a Sony Surround sound system. The speakers works great and sound great on DVD's, the radio, etc. The receiver has the DVD player built in.

I am having trouble getting the system to work just when watching TV. I still get just the volume directly from the TV.

My question is how should the receiver be hooked up my TV/Sattelite receiver? As of now, I have component cables going from the DVD player to the TV..and the DVD's look and sound great.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks so much,

SJ

You have to run a pair of analog audio cables from the audio out on the back of your tv directly to your receiver. Then you have to set the sound output from the tv's setup menu to fixed output.
