The epicenter was about 28 miles west of Richmond in an area that periodically gets these small quakes. This one was especially strong (for Virginia), though - about a 4.5. Everyone around here felt it.

My friend further north in Fairfax said she felt it but me in Dumfries didn't feel a thing! Or maybe I did and didn't think much of it. ;)

I sure felt it :D

Whole house rattled. Wasn't quite sure at first what it was, though I suspected a quake, until my mother-in-law called and said they felt it, as well as my brother-in-law 25 miles away.

a 4 pt quake hit about 10 miles from where I live last week. Happens quite often around here. Not many people realize that SW Montana is quake central. Fortunatly, the areas hit are usually not populated.
