Many early films of Woody Allen are now being released by Sandpiper Pictures,
This happened in 2022 from the reviews at Amazon so I am late to the party.

Bananas
Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex
Sleeper ( Not available at Sandpiper) Available as Import from Arrow
Love and Death

Any difference in the transfers?

Why is Play it Again Sam missing in the line up? Or What's Up Tiger Lily?

How about Take The Money And Run?
ABC Pictures Palomar Pictures International
Cinerama Releasing Corporation

Even if MGM now has rights to release film on video, I don't believe this film was part of Allen's deal with United Artist that probably started with 'Bananas"

Checking other Allen titles the following are also now released by Sandpiper.

Purple Rose of Cairo
Broadway Danny Rose
Crimes and Misdemeanors
Radio Days
Zelig
Stardust Memories
Interiors

Annie Hall, Manhattan, and Hannah and Her Sisters are still MGM.

These are licensed from MGM, their logo is on the back of the case for each of these releases.

Sandpiper has no association with Quiver, who released the earlier Blu-ray boxset.

I have been hoping that Paramount will (finally) get around to releasing this as part of its Paramount Presents line. Could happen...the studio is pumping out their catalog quickly (after five years of nada) through their own line or by licensing out. PLAY IT AGAIN SAM is a pretty obvious gap in their Blu-ray ray announcements.

Yeah, I think this thread title definitely needs a correction. MGM licensing titles out to Sandpiper is not the same thing as losing rights.
And as already pointed out, the original poster confused Sandpiper with Quiver.

I find it sad that Woody's early films on disc have no extras on them except for the trailer on some of the releases.
Do any of Allen's films have any extras or bonus features of any merit? He's basically a "the movie speaks for itself" kind of guy.

No. Out of the 37 films directed by him I have in my filmothèque, a trailer is the only extra, if included. Arrow Films had recorded a commentary for their blu-ray release of Interiors, but were forced to remove it.

The 2011 Woody Allen: A Documentary, is probably the closest we'll ever get to a "bonus feature" from him. The UK blu-ray is out of print.

Happy to have in my DVD collection Barbara Koppel's excellent documentary Wild Man Blues (1997) which we see Woody's enthusiastic passion for jazz and playing the clarinet.
