Yeah, the movie doesn't hit until May of next year, but there are a few solid promo pics up at Bloody-Disgusting.com

    Have a look.

I quite like the Dracula design. I hope this turns out to be stupidly good fun like The Mummy and not just plain stupid, like The Mummy Returns.

Okay, those pics are cool. What the hell is the story about? Is it based on those Van Helsing animated DVD's that Ive been seeing?

Just what the world needs, more junk from the creator of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns! No thanks...

Well, the Frankenstein Monster looks pretty cool. I would like to see the Wolfman and Dracula look more like their Universal Classic counterparts, but oh well. I thought both MUMMY films were good fun(if slightly dumb), so I'm hoping this will be at least entertaining. It will be good to see my favorite monsters on the big screen again.

    The Relic
    Narrow Margin
    The Presidio
    Running Scared
    Outland
    The Star Chamber

None great, but all perfectly watchable flicks. Matt's had some bizarre bug up his butt for Hyams for years now.

(Plus he exec. produced The Monster Squad and that forgives a lot.)

I'd have to agree with Scott. The Relic may be crummy...but it's watchable.

Yeah, Relic is a nice flick. He made 2010 too. A superior Sci-Fi film. Its no 2001, but its a damn good sci-fi flick.

Hyams is a cinematographer disguised as a director. That list that Scott provides is proof-positive that he's a hack. He can stage a scene well enough - and photograph it nicely (and he usually hires good composers to try and cover up the flaws) - but his films are terrible. Sommers is even worse, since his films *aren't* watchable... [IMG]

2010 is one of the worst things ever released.

I wouldnt call his films terrible. They are generally enjoyable. 2010 is a good sci-fi IMO and is far from being "the worst thing ever released."

I couldn't even watch The Mummy or The Mummy Returns, and i didnt even go near The Scorpion King... it seems like hes tumbling down a mountain of bad movies; hopefully near the bottom.

But, in all fairness, this could be good.

I agree with Richard Smith, i think people forget how The Mummy was just good fun. And Mummy Returns was just terrible, over exhausting an idea...i don't even want to know what Scorpion King was like, i stayed away from it
