    I would like to suggest a Special Edition release of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial on Blu-Ray for release next year.
    Here are my ideas:
    Disc 1 would include the 1080p HD transfer of the 1982 theatrical version from this year's release, with English subtitles, scene selection menus, and a text commentary (trivia track).
    Disc 2 Special Features:
    E.T. and Friends: Magical Movie Visitors (1982)
    Steven Spielberg and E.T. (HD, 13 minutes)
    The E.T. Journals (HD, 54 minutes)
    The Making of E.T. (HD, 1996, 120 minutes)
    E.T.: The 20th Anniversary Celebration (HD, 50 minutes)
    E.T.: A Look Back (HD, 37 minutes)
    The Music of E.T.: A Discussion With John Williams (HD)
    Henry Thomas's Original Audition (HD)
    Outtakes from E.T. (HD)
    Deleted Scenes (including 1996 commentary) (HD)
    2002 Additional Scenes (HD)
    The 20th Anniversary Premiere (HD)
    Designs, Photographs, and Marketing (With Additional Photos)
    Special Olympics TV Spot With E.T. Teasers/Theatrical Trailers (1982, 1985,
    2002)/TV Spots/Commercials With E.T./Commercials Related to E.T./Video and DVD and Blu-Ray Spots
    (There is a series of commercials related to E.T. on YouTube that should be included.)

    Alternate Ending (From 1996 laserdisc) (HD)
    E.T.: The Reunion (2002, HD)
    The Evolution and Creation of E.T. (2002, 50 minutes, HD)
    E.T. 20th Anniversary TV Special (Aired March 16, 2002, HD)
    E.T. 2013 Retrospective Documentary (With Steven Spielberg, Cast, Crew, and Fans)
    Cast/Crew Bios and Filmographies
    Rare Footage
    Production Notes
    E.T. Scripts
    Screen Tests
    TV Interviews About E.T.
    "Notes on the Production - 1982," 145 frames;
    "Notes for the Theatrical Reissue - 1985," 66 frames;
    "Production Notes for the Videocassette Release - 1988," 24 frames
    English subtitles would be included for Disc 2.
    Laurent Bouzereau would be the producer of the set.
    A collector's book would be included.

    You forgot the commentary by Spielberg. :D
    Yeah, I'd buy this, but won't hold my breath waiting for it.
