I just got done watching this movie and I think I noticed something I never had before.

When the kids are out with E.T. for Halloween E.T. sees a kid dressed as Yoda and starts following him saying "Home, Home home!" Unless I'm mistaken, John Williams snuck in a quick cue from Yoda's theme. Maybe I'm just imagining it, but it's a nice touch if he did do it.

Didn't this movie win an Oscar for score? It was well deserved for sure. I could watch this movie a 1,000 times for the music alone.

Yes, the Yoda theme is there, and yes, the score deservedly won the Oscar. If you haven't already, be sure to pick up the soundtrack CD. There are still a couple of cues dropped here and there, but it's fairly complete. I would also recommend seeking out the original E.T. CD, which had engaging concert arrangements of the score's highlights. Unfortunately, that CD is pretty hard to find now.

Also, don't forget to watch the SE version with the live score track. Absolutely amazing.

Tremendous score indeed. And yes, the 5.1 live music track is incredible. [IMG]

On the live-music track are the dialogue and sound effects still there or is it done like an isolated score track where there is just the music?

It's a live recording of the score, when it was performed live for the 20th Anniversary premiere. It has some of the movie's louder dialogue and sound effects, and the audience's applause also.

    Personally, I love it..

The audience reactions to some of the scenes are absolutely great.
