DVR / DVD Recorder / Digital Cable Box (1 Viewer)

I am a Cox Cable subscriber and what I would like is an all in one DVR / DVD Recorder / Cable Box. Do they have such a thing or would I have to ditch the Cox DVR and go TiVo?

No such thing as an all in one. But there is no need to ditch the cable DVR unless you want the Tivo features. Just record onto your current DVR. Dump the recording in real time to the stand alone DVD recorder. It's that simple. I do that with both of my Tivos and my DirecTV DVR.
