I have a Sony vpd-mx10 DLP projector. It has a 15 pin component input and also a DVI (digital) input. Is it better to use a DVD or a PC as fountain? I´d like to use Dscaler program. How can I connect for best image?

A HTPC coupled with a video card with DVI-out, set to the exact resolution of your projector will give the best output. You can use dscaler to sources that aren't in the HTPC directly (e.g., DVD, HDTV tuner could be all PC based, but an LD player could run into the PC via S-Video in and be de-interlaced/scaled by dScaler.)

Using the 15pin RGB input won't look bad, by any means, of course. You also have the option us using an external scaler (the QuadScan Elite HD, perhaps... It's ~$1k or so, not too bad) to scale the image to the exact resolution of your projector.

You should be able to feed a 480p signal directly to it as well, and it should still look quite good!
