Does anyone know the difference between a DVI/HDTV (sony), DVI/HDCP and just plain DVI?

I think that the HDTV and HDCP are just protocols that are being used over a standard DVI-D cable (dual link?).

I have my walls open and I am running cables for a new un-purchased HT and want to cover all of the different types of cables. I have everything else covered (component, s-video, vga, etc.). I just do not know if the DVI cables flavors mentioned above are different types of physical cables.

Thanks,

John

I know for computers there's the kind that is a vga converter and the kind with dvi on both ends. I'm not sure if for consumer electronics there is a different kind than the computer sort, but hdcp is just a protocol I believe. I would guess that if there is a seperate kind of tvs, they're all pretty much the same.
