I'm getting the feeling taht even though Ice Age is being touted as a "day & date" release with dvd, I won't be seeing this movie on 11/26. Planet of the Apes, which by the way was supposedly released on 11/5, has yet to hit my local store that seels DVHS. Are there any people out there that ordered this film or High Crimes online and have received their shipment. Maybe it's just the store I'm buying these from that's not getting them?

    Chris

BTW, it would be very sad for Fox to announce this as a day & date release knowing full well they will not be able to meet the deadline. I don't care what the reasoning is. I have never had a dvd not make it to Best Buy on the Tuesday it was due.

Well, finally we received formal word from Artisan that Van Wilder in D-Theater format is available. Still our distributor does not have it available for order, but we are working on correcting this situation. We are now taking pre-orders and will ship as soon as we receive product (hopefully sometime next week). You can order at www.DVHSMovieGuide.com for $31.99. I think it is a very funny movie!
Also, we are shipping the D-Theater version of Fox’s Ice Age on Monday, November 25 for delivery on the street date, Tuesday, November 26 (depending on your location). The price is $31.99. A review will appear in the January Issue 68 of Widescreen Review, along with Universal’s Spy Games and The Bone Collector, both now available for order ($39.99) and delivery from www.DVHSMovieGuide.com.
I wish to thank the Home Theater Forum members for supporting Widescreen Review’s www.DVHSMovieGuide.com site. We created this site for the serious home theatre enthusiasts with prerecorded D-VHS and D-Theater HD interests.

Gary, great to hear that you will have Ice Age ready to ship by next Monday. Glad I was wrong. I am finally getting Planet of the Apes as well. It was available nowhere for the last 2 weeks, but should be receiving it tomorrow from Digital Eyes.

I've not seen any D-Theater/D-VHS titles in any local stores, but if you want to order (or better yet pre-order) those titles ARE available.
Personally I wouldn't order them locally anyway because they'd probably a lot higher than online (other than that sense of immediacy). Not unless Tower Records still has them for $24.95! (Although I don't have a Tower within 300 miles of me! [IMG]) I'm rambling aren't I? [IMG]
How about here and here or how about here or here or how about here or here. Ok, ok or here.

    Have a good weekend.
