I was just wondering if anyone had a complete list of DVD's available with full-rate DTS (~1400 kbps). Someone told me that Twister had it, but other than that Im not sure. Oh and hi, im new here [IMG]

Most of the first DreamWorks and Universal DTS-only titles had DTS at its full bitrate (~1.5 Megabits/sec). Many of Image's DTS titles use it too. Unfortunately, Jaws, The Haunting, and Jurassic Park did have DTS only versions, but were encoded at half the rate (as most DTS titles are now).

Warner Brothers first five DTS titles also: Lethal Weapon 1-3 Director's Cuts, Twister SE, and Interview With The Vampire SE.

Quite a few DVD-As have a full bitrate DTS track, especially those produced by DTS (of course).

I have Aaron Neville's Devotion DVD-A and it's pretty damn sweet. I have heard that the Clapton/BB King DVD-A has a DTS ES track on it, but I haven't heard it myself. Tempted to pick it up.

    Nice thread crap.[IMG]
Seriously, I highly recommend picking up some DVD-As with DTS tracks. Some of the mixes are stellar, much better than I thought they would be, better than movie tracks.
The DVD-As I have with AC3 tracks don't sound nearly as good.
Then whenever you upgrade to a DVD-A player you'll have that too.

How about the Eagles Hell Freezes Over? Was that full bitrate? And what about Saving Private Ryan?

Wasn't there enough room on the Saving Private Ryan dvd for full bit rate dts audio?

I'm wondering why studios have chosen not to release full bit rate dts dvd's. If they have the room for it why not utilize the full bit rate instead of the half bit rate. Does full bit rate cost more if there is room on a single disc?

I think Queen "Greatest Video Hits 1" fits into this catagory.
