What I do is see what movies they would like then, if possible, get them the OAR version of the dvd, regardless of if they have a dvd player. Perhaps this year I'll team up with one of my sisters and get my folks a dvd player.

For some of my comedy loving friends, I'm planning on getting them Ben Stiller Show set, Mr. Show and The Office...

Dad is getting the NASA Archives: Apollo 11 set - He doesn't know about the forum, so nobody tell him...

Brother Kev has no cable back in Iowa town of about 300 people, so he's getting a Family Guy box...

Mom, electric blanket, slippers and cocoa... She hasn't watched what I got her last Christmas yet... :rolleyes
