Ghostbusters II is 16:9 enhanced and the video quality is pretty stellar. However, I'd rebuy it in an instant if they gave it the same DVD treatment they gave the original. It definitely deserves it, IMO.

All of those mentioned titles except for Black Christmas need matted widescreen transfers. They are simply open matte (of course, incorrect aspect ratio.

Black Christmas is supposed to be 1.33:1 open matte due to the conditions it was filmed in. (Correct me if I'm wrong, though.)

As for DVD's I've seen that really could use a better edition...

All Quiet on the Western Front (Another Lowry Digital Images project, perhaps?)

Help! (Another film that would benifit from LDI's work.)

    Magical Mystery Tour (same thing)

Gone With The Wind (How about the digitally restored transfer, plus some stuff such as extras. This film is screaming for a 2/3 disc set.)

Of course, the studios need to release new DVD's before reissues.

How Green Was My Valley, for the most part the transfer is excellent (there may be some edge enhancement, but it's hard for me to spot), I think a few more things could now be digitally cleaned up if given a new restoration, and some extras would be wonderful. it deserves a better treatment, one of John Ford's absolute best, and the film that managed to beat all the other steller films of 1941 for best picture.

Good Will Hunting is presented in anamorphic widescreen with a few more supplement thanks to Alliance in Canada.

Honestly, I expect Gone With The Wind to be re-released once they settle this whole "90 minutes of newly-found footage" thing.

    Add to the list:

    Brazil

    Dazed and Confused

    The Full Monty

    Eve's Bayou

    Space Jam

And, if I recall correctly, the HK John Woo films.

Even though Welcome to the Dollhouse has an anamorphic transfer, I've heard it is bad.

All of FOX and Paramount's early DVD releases which are not anamorphic (at least the ones that haven't had a reissue as yet.) At least FOX is getting around to them with mostly special editions. I haven't seen Paramount do anything regarding this- Top Gun, Private Parts, Deep Impact.....

Forbidden Planet is in dire need of restoration and remastering. I've seen it in several incarnations including the Criterion laserdisc and current DVD and it's pretty ugly looking.
Get Leslie Nielsen, Anne Francis and Earl Holliman to do a commentary and do justice to this sci-fi classic, Warners.
