DVDs of Notorious and African Queen (1 Viewer)

Has anybody heard any news about legitimate DVD releases of Notorious and African Queen. These are two classics I definitely want to own!!

THE AFRICAN QUEEN is only available in region 2. The U.K. disc has a commentary by dp Jack Cardiff, but the image quality is not everything it should be. It is worth owning and quite enjoyable if you're region-free.

NOTORIOUS was issued first by Anchor Bay in an excellent transfer and later by Criterion is a better than excellent transfer with mucho supplements. Both are out of print but still obtainable from ebay and Amazon sellers. Buy the Criterion if you can. It is Hitchcock's best film, one of Criterion's best DVDs, and worth every penny.

Notorious had legitimate DVD releases on both Criterion and Anchor Bay. They are both now out of print, but can sometimes be gotten used on ebay.

The Criterion release is the better of the two but the Anchor Bay is serviceable.

There's a Region 3 NTSC DVD from South Korea. Yes, it's legit. No idea on the quality.

The Criterion disc is one of my favorites and despite some minor cropping, looks fantastic for what it is. Certainly one of their stronger earlier entries to the Collection.
