DVD/VCR Combination Player will (1 Viewer)

Get a Picture off of a videotape but no sound is coming out any ideas as to how to fix this problem the patient is a samsung dvd-v2000. any ideas will be appreciated and the way i have it hooked up is vcr out to vcr in on the receiver and the dvd right to the tv. Don,

this player has 2 sets of audio outputs, one for vcr&dvd, and one for DVD only.

AlbertH yes it does and evreything is hooked up going out from the dvd/vcr player to the receiver minus the dvd player and that is hooked up with 5 cables going to the tv Don

You need to run audio cables from the outputs located on the LEFT side of this unit (refer to picture)
The audio outputs located to the RIGHT side of the unit next to the component video cables only output audio from the DVD player, the outputs on the left put out audio from the DVD PLAYER and VCR.

AlbertH i have the right side of the DVD player going to the tv and the vcr going to the receiver also do i need to hook up all 6 cables on the dvd player i noticed that there is a dolby digital outlet to the receiver i'm hooking it up to is a kenwood 505 and a panasonic panablack 32 in tv the model without pic in pic Don,
