My company just upgraded my OS to XP Pro and I want to try and utilize the DVD drive for my travel. I have Intervideo DVD SW from my home PC, but when I try to install it it says it's "not a qualified Gateway machine" :frowning:
Does anyone know a work-around or have any suggestions? Thanks.

Matt, I think your question violates forum rule, if I read it correctly, you are asking for a get around to use a piece of OEM bundled software that's licensed for a Gateway machine on a Toshiba. This, I think, qualifies as pirating and discussion along that line is strictly prohibited here. All that said, I would suggest you go check out EBay, they have plenty of PowerDVD for sale (around $10) and a lot of these are one current Rev behind, but should work fine on your XP. Good luck.

Go to a smaller computer store. They should have ones for sale there.

Or try a computer show/sale.

Steve,
I'm not looking to break any forum rules, a cheap fix was my goal. Thanks for the PowerDVD suggestion, I'll check-out eBay. Thanks.
