Personally, I perfer them burned in, they just look unatural when placed in the black bars by the player. What do you guys think?

I prefer the subtitles on the unused space.

I prefer the subtitles burnt in, NOT the way the Traffic subtitles were on the DVD.

For spoken dialogue, player generated subtitles

For location titles etc that were burned in the movie in the theatre, they should still be burned in on the DVD of course.
