What do you think regarding DVDs of season sets that have part one of a multi-part story arc ending one disc, and the second or third part starting another?

For example: Mission: Impossible - The Complete Third Season (1968-1969). Part 1 of the two-part story arc "The Bunker" is the last episode on disc 5, and part 2 starts disc 6.

Disc 1:
3.01 - "The Heir Apparent" (9/29/68)
3.02 - "The Contender: Part 1" (10/6/68)
3.03 - "The Contender: Part 2" (10/13/68)
3.04 - "The Mercenaries" (10/27/68)

Disc 5:
3.17 - "Doomsday" (2/16/69)
3.18 - "Live Bait" (2/23/69)
3.19 - "The Bunker: Part 1" (3/2/69)

Disc 6:
3.20 - "The Bunker: Part 2" (3/9/69)
3.21 - "Nitro" (3/23/69)
3.22 - "Nicole" (3/30/69)

That issue doesn't bother me at all. What bothers me is that "The Contender" two-parter on disc 1 appears to be an edited version. Each part is five minutes shorter than all the rest of the episodes in that season. It is also the first set to have the "some episodes may be edited" notice.

That, plus the original Paramount logos on all season 3-7 episodes are gone. Including this one...

(this was the original end logo on the two-parter you mention)
