Does anyone know a site where we can see how well TV on DVD sets are selling? I'm curious to see what several titles have sold...

I've looked for something like that FOREVER. The best thing I have found is videobusiness.com. They have the top 20 weekly DVD sales. It doesn't give numbers but it is better than nothing. You can see if the titles you like actually made it into the top 20 for the week they were released.

I keep seeing people on here refer to the sales ranking at Amazon.com. From what I can figure though that is only the current ranking for that day (or week). That doesn't mean much to me.

I asked Dave L (TVoDVD) this a while back. I was also wanting to see some #'s but if I remember Dave said, apart from the videobusiness site mentioned here, there's no other place that "outsiders" can see the sales #'s.

99% of the time, studios don't release the numbers to the public unless they've done exceedingly well, it seems. [IMG]

I am shocked Seinfeld seasons 1&2 has such a lead over season 3. Most everyone I know seems to consider 3 the superior season

Yeah but most people want to start at the beginning of a series (which is why The Simpsons: Season One is easily the best seller of The Simpsons).

true, but wasn't part of the deal about releasing them at the same time was so people would buy both sets? I mean, I can see 1 ahead slightly, but not over twice as much.

The lead isn't as big as it looks. If you distribute the totals from both years from the 3-season set, the S1-S2 set and the individual S3 set they all total about 60 million bucks per season:

    Season 1: 66.38
    Season 2: 66.38
    Season 3: 61.53

    Regards,

    Joe
