Do any members know what dictates a DVD release in a country when the movie has been shown in the theatres say 10years ago, I reside in Australia and to give an example. The Remains of the Day is available in the United States and the UK but not here, I have been advised that if may take another 15months to be released here, does anyone have any comments they would be very welcome on this matter[IMG]

Yes, I have a comment: buy the R2 or R1 DVD. The more people do that, the sooner the local "rights holders" will get up off their fat, lazy behinds and produce a R4 version.

Of course this applies to any region, that you, dear reader happen to live in, just as well.

And not only with this kind of title, if you find a cut edition, buy the region 1 release (or the one with the real edition), if you find it more expensive, buy the region 1, if it lacks something about other region (extras, commentary) buy. This way they will lose sales based on their discrimination.
