when I refreshed my profiles the last time, it appears I unwittingly got some overviews in foreign languages

As I understand it, there's no way, the latest profile modification always wins. All you can do is "lock" the DVD in the state that you're happy with (you might have to write your own overview in English) -- then it will ignore all profile changes.

thanks. I was afraid that might be the case. Well, time to copy & paste & edit those foreign-language overviews, and then lock them in....
