You included the comma inside the "[ url ]" brackets, so the link doesn't work. :)
I just tried to go to the site and got a "site maintenance, temporarily unavailable" screen, but I'll try again later. I've been waiting for 2.0. Thanks for the heads-up.
Regards,
Joe

I managed to download 2.0 earlier today. After updating my online profile, I uninstalled 1.1, and installed 2.0. And now the website is down, so I can't get my profile! :) Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.

LOL. I downloaded DVD Profiler 1.1 for the first time last night. Guess I need to update already. One question though...does this update explain why half of my DVD's are suddenly missing from the My Profiler link?

As far as I understand it, you should perform a backup of your current collection using the old version of the program, then install the new version, then import the backup file into the new one.

Worked for me!

Yes, back up first. I maintain a back up, as I shuttle my DB from work and home, so it was not a biggy.

Now I have to go in an reagionalize/localize everything.

Getting it now, hope it easy to work with and doesn't have the same stupid ads on it (with a outdated one for the Blockbuster campain).

What are the new features of 2.0 and why would one want to upgrade? (just a question for the benefit of all who may want to know, including myself :))

I hate it when programmers forget to take into account what happens to their screens in "large fonts" mode, or if scroll bar widths, etc. are sized to anything other than the default settings. I can't see the years on the list of titles on the main window and several other dialog boxes exhibit problems with controls spaced/sized poorly due to my running Windows at 1600 x 1200 with large fonts. Bad programmer, bad.

Other than that, a great program.

Nathan pretty much covered off the new enhancements, but forgot one very compelling reason to upgrade:
You have to. :D
The database is different and has been converted to the 2.0 format. The next time you try to access the database, you will be prompted to upgrade.

Its good, its clean, its slick, the updating of the entries is much smoother. When you notice that an entry needs updating you can check to see what was changed or what the differences are. nice. There is a stats section now, though it can be sobering and rather interesting, and the plugin feature will be very very useful if it gets rolling.

All in all... i like it.

Generally when someone can't see all of their discs listed it's because of parental locks being enabled in some form. Any film that's not rated (NR) will not show up with parental stuff turned on.

Very nice, but one problem that is still annoying for the non-pro verison buyer. The same damn ad banners at the top, which are out dated with info on trying to get Blockbuster to support widescreen.

Just download and install version 2.0 over your current version, and it will automatically import all of your videos and settings.
