Just bought a big screen TV (JVC model AV56WP74) and now want to buy a DVD Player. Have been looking at the Denon 1600 or the Denon 2800. Is there any big difference between the two or should I be looking at something else that is better quality, but in the same price range?

Denon DVD-1600 is a bargain at around $300 at Crutchfield with a coupon, the best picture quality and the Faroudja de-interlacer. You'd have to spend over $500 to get close to its quality with anything different.
