DVD Player won't play new disc (1 Viewer)

I just bought a DVD (America in Concert) and it won't play in my Toshiba 2109 player, but it does play in my son's inexpensive Apex player. When I put the disc in the Toshiba it reads "disc error" on the display Could someone tell me why?

Sometimes some discs wont play on some models. The second disc of the Speed 5 Star collection wont play on my Sony s360, but it will play on my PS2. Some discs are just incompatible with some players.

i can only get half of oceans eleven to play on my ps2, then it gets a read error. whole thing plays fine on both of my philips players.

I have a Yes - Live at the House of Blues that will not play on my RP-82 but does on my older Philips DVD850. I was thinking about calling the company that made it to see if there is someting that they can do. Spending $20 for a dvd and not having it play really stinks.

my copy of Pay It Forward will not play on my in-laws 2109, a rental copy would.
