I like to back up my kid's DVD's so I can keep the originals safe from little hands.
Right now I have an older Samsung DVD player that handles older 2xs media ok, but not doing well with newer 8xs DVD + or - Rs.
Anyone reco a good, fairly inexpensive DVD player (preferrably with 1080i upconversion via HDMI, DVI or even component video) that will handle newer recordable media-that do not have black crush, green push issues,etc)?
Looking no more then $200 range. Will sacrfice upconversion as long as it does progressive scan well.
