My 8 month old Pioneer Elite DV-37 has just starting skipping bad when playing CDs. It only skips when playing real loud, and it is obvious that it's from the vibrations of the bass. However, I never had this problem before, and I would hate to move it just so it wouldn't skip anymore.

Why does it work fine for DVDs, and not CDs? I assume because they are different lasers? Is there any CD-cleaning kit I could use? Should I contact Pioneer?

    Thanks for the help!

You might also try an inexpensive tweak like Vibrapods to eliminate some of the vibrations.

They are about $24 for a set of 4.
