    Hi Folks.

I don’t know if I have a real problem or if it’s something that’s going to happen with DVD players every now and then. I own the Pioneer DV-47Ai Elite DVD player. Overall I’m happy with the unit. I have noticed however that every now and then when it’s playing a movie it will pause for just a brief moment then start to play again. It doesn’t happen all the time and it’s never seems to happens in the same place twice on the same disk. I’d say maybe every third or fourth DVD that I’ll play it occurs. Ever hear of this or am I just being too picky.

    Thanks
    Bart

Sounded like a layer change until you said it's never in the same place twice.

Wouldn't the layer change be different on each DVD?

Yes. But I assumed he meant by "never seems to happens in the same place twice" as being with the same disc.

Yes, that's correct. Never the same place twice on the same disk.

Have you checked the disc for scratches/dust?

    Yes.

I’ve decided that I’m not going to be concerned about it. Ninety-nine percent of the time it runs flawlessly.
