We should send this comic to any studio that puts out a DVD in this day and age whose only "special features" read: "Languages: English, French."

Thanks for sharing, Keith. Good scan.

Yeah, I'm sure our friends up in Canada, or our Spanish-speaking neighbors sprinkled throughout the good ol' meltin' pot we call the USA, are sure yukkin' it up over this one! Fuuuuuun-nneeeee. Yep.

The really funny thing is that this is a Canadian Strip. [IMG]

Yup, I mean why would that be a useful feature? Let all the european countries learn to speak English, especially the little kids who want to watch their Disney movies in a language they can comprehend. I'm all for that! [IMG]
Or better yet! Let's make sure that ONLY the dubbed version is available in any given country, just like good ole' VHS!

I have a problem with the "wide screen or regular" part. It should read regular or pan and scan! [IMG]

Don't get too steamed up on the language issue. The comic strip is after all drawn from the perspective of Joe SixPack (Betty SixPack?) and not from the perspective of the typical anal-retentive DVD aficionado. [IMG]

The whole thing seems pretty anti-DVD, doesn't it? [IMG]

A little... I think that it does make a valid point though-there are a lot of people who just don't care about extra features (or dvd) out there. I think we've all tried to extole the virtues of dvd to someone who just couldn't care less.

A good observation - my son likes my DVD collection for the movies, but he doesn't get get much of a kick out of things like commentary tracks, etc. - he does like bonus documentaries when they're on films he really enjoys, though. The strip is a light hearted observation of those who just aren't as enthusiastic (and maybe they were watching Battlefield Earth! [IMG]

Man after that last strip I could not help to think that some people may actually be turned off by the technology.
Kinda strikes me as a bit sad!
