What's the rule of thumb? I have a Toshiba 56H80, and just got HD sat & OTA. I had my set calibrated by ISF guys two years ago so grey-scale color temp etc accurate for DVD. Should these also be correct for 1080i??

Also, my convergence goes batty when switching to 1080i. Will this continue?? I remember when the set was new it took awhile for the convergence to hold.

    Thanks much in advance!!

    hi

the gray scale is universal. however it is sometimes magenta in HD so I use an offset specifically for HD. HD also has a separate convergence. Front panel controls are different between DVD and HD also.

To do a thorough toshiba calibration you need to have access to the ADDR and Designer codes. These are only available if the calibrator signs a NDA with Toshiba.

    Greetings

You will find that HD is usually very close to what the DVD was set at ...
