I know that a Planet of the Apes DVD gave away the ending by including the Statue of Liberty on its cover.

Then recently I bought the $1.00 release of Murder on Flight 502. On its cover is a picture of the person with a gun who killed others aboard.

What other DVDs have covers that contain spoilers?

Heres something to think about. How many of those movies would you understand what the spoiler was had you not seen the movie? Like I looked at TheDigitalBits fake spoilers, and some of those movies I had never seen and didn't understand what the spoiler was.

So, Im just saying, that looking back on a movie you've already seen probably reveals what is or isnt a spoiler, but not seeing the movie at all wont really spoil anything for you.

The Spanish Prisoner (David Mamet's film). The back cover has big photos of the climax of the film where a character is revealed to be either a bad guy or a good guy (I won't say which in case you haven't seen the film).

I can understand such flubs on dramas, but when the film is a mystery/thriller, you'd THINK they wouldn't GIVE AWAY THE ENDING OF THE FILM.

i've never seen Phonebooth, but the cover has Keifer Sutherland on it, and i'd think you wouldn't want to know what he looks like.



while the list of spoilered covers may be short, the list of menus that DON'T have spoilers would probably be shorter than the list of menus that do.

there's also a trend for some tv season DVDs to have an episode menu with a quick capture of a scene from each episode. and since there has to be one for each episode, of course they'll get a shot that's unique to that episode, and usually this is a spoiler.

Try the back of the original Friday the 13th and Pet Sematary. My wife has a tendency to read the back cover of any movie I suggest we watch. SO I had to rip them out of her hand! I almost got a beating!

COme to think of it, spoiler cases are bad for your health!

5 guys... they worked together... then were forced to turn on eachother


that's paraphrasing, but the cover tells you what happens.

btw it's a GREAT movie.

I guess I haven't been paying attention to the Buffy packaging, because I haven't noticed much for spoilers other than the individual DVDs typically have a picture of the character that gets the most development on the disk. Now the menus do spoil a lot. I try not to look at them much.
