Can anyone recommend a good DVD disc cleaner, and where you bought it? There's nothing worse than when a DVD pauses and won't play. Is it scratches that causes this? Thanks.

Rented DVDs? Windex works for me.

Owned DVDs? I only have a few, which I have prevented from getting any finger prints on. For my owned discs, I'd be in the same boat as you and ready to purchase a commercial product to do the cleaning.

Here's what I do and its always worked.

Squirt a little liquid dishwashing detergent on the disk, spread lightly with a finger, rinse well, then blow off the remaining drops.
