    Hi guys!

Really wanted to know: when the DVD is playing, there is a display about the bitrate, in "Mbps" (i think)

Does Mbps stand for MegaBits Per Second?
Is that approximately equivalent to MegaBytes per Second?
If that is so, then does that mean that 10MB/s is running through my player (Player display is on average 10Mbps)

But then that is quite unlikely 'cos that would mean 600MB per minute--DVD's storage volume is not that large since it is a 100min show.

Can someone enlighten me on this technical aspect?

Yes, it stands for megabits per second. 1 byte=8 bits, so divide by 8 to get megabytes per second.
