Hi,
I haven't kept up on which one of these is winning the format war between the two. I've seen more HDCD products I think, but which one has the better support? Unless there's a clear direction I'm going to sit back and wait for the smoke to clear. Is there a consensus yet?
Many thanks,

I think you mean DVD-Audio vs. SACD. HDCD has been around for years on conventional CD's.
As for who's winning, I don't really think either is yet. SACD had a years headstart on DVD-A, but both are still very small markets.

It'll probably take at least two more years before you start seeing one become more accepted than the other. And, if multi-format players become available you might see both survive but this is less likely since the content providers, distributors and retailers will definitely resist having three of the same product to sell (CD, SACD & DVD-A).
