I just got a few DVD audio titles as gifts, and I was wondering what the consensus was on the titles before I open them up (seeing as I could still return them). What I am looking for is the recording and mixing quality.
Orff: Carmina Burana - Zubin Mehta
Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty - London Philharmonic
Organ Spectacular - Ton Koopman
Thanks.

Can't really say anything about the Tchaikovsky or Koopman discs, but CARMINA BURANA is terrific. I got it about three and a half months ago and the Advanced Resolution Surround Mix is phenomenal. Just got John Williams' score to A.I. this morning and it's also terrific.
Cheers!
