Is there any software out there that will allow you to hear the Advanced Resolution mix off a DVD-Audio disc using your DVD-ROM drive? I have a number of software DVD players and none of them even recognize another audio format other then the Dolby Digital track off DVD-Audio discs. Any help would be great. Thanks

Isn't there some minor physical difference between DVD and DVD-A discs?

If you mean physical as in the size of the disc, then no. But as far as storage capacity goes I am not sure, but I think it is just a standard DVD with all the space devoted to audio. I have a few (I bought them for the DD 5.1 mixes) and they do have menus and such but I want to be able to demo the "Advanced Resoultion" mixes before buying a capable player and the only way to do that is to drive a couple hundred miles.

As long as you have software that will play DVD-A, I don't see why it wouldn't work. At the very least the DD 5.1 track on the disc should play
