    Question from a newbie....
When playing a CD in a DVD player does one just put the CD in and press play? Is it that simple? The manual probably will tell me the answer, but i am at work and this came up in a discussion, so i figured i would post this. [IMG]

Probably don't even need to press play. :)

    Welcome to the HTF David.

Yes, your DVD player should recognize the Audio CD and play the CD.

How do you have you DVD player hooked up?

I'm assuming you have it connected to an A/V receiver.

Are you using the digital or analog connections on the back of the DVD player?

Depending on your receiver it should auto-detect the source and send the sound to your speakers.

If your receiver doesn't automatically detect the source then you will have to manually select it.

In this case you would need to select the "DVD" input to hear the cd play inside the DVD player.

    Hope this helps,

    Brian
