Well it is about time I added my final thoughs on this unit.
my original impression of sound quality still holds, this really is an amazing car deck. I have become familier with the controls now and can operate the unit without looking at it. The remote isn't needed for my applications but you will want it if you use the video capabilities.
I have listened in various modes to all the available music formats and I still prefer the surround DVD-A tracks in the car. Car speakers don't have a prayer of handling the 192 tracks and it would be a real hastle to downmix to the front speakers only. CD sound the best I have heard in a car. I have attempted to listen in prologic mode but didn't find that appealing however you may like that sound.
The display is useless in my car during the day but operation is so simple it is easy to operate blind. I can read the display when the top is on so for most of you this won't be an issue.
