I have a new DVD-A player. At the moment, my receiver does not have 5.1 analog inputs. Can I hook-up the front left and right 5.1 output on the player to the CD input on my receiver? Or, should I stick to the regular audio outputs from the player?

The player is a Denon DVM-2815.

    Thanks

Yes, these are analog connections, so you can hook the main pair to any stereo analog input. I am using my 2200 like this for DVD-A.

Thanks John. Tried it and I'm good to go. Only tried with a CD so far though - no DVD-A discs yet.
