Mike, check out the Sony TA-P9000ES multi-channel analog pre-amp at www.crutchfield.com . Last I heard, Oade Bros. was selling it for around $450.

Mike, thanks for the compliment. I've read about the 'P9000ES around the Internet, including in discussions on this site. Are you using a home-theater receiver or separates? I ask because I believe the 'P9000ES is intended to be used with a multi-channel digital pre-amp, not a receiver. That is the consensus I have read on this site and others.

Well, you were looking for a high-end solution. You might try the Radio Shack switch boxes before going for a more expensive option. Two of these boxes will run you $30. Try them out! The Radio Shack part number is 15-1952.
