It's a smae that they don't seem to have included the making of docu that appears on the German release, theres some hilarious Richard Stanley being eccentric moments on there.

Now all we need is an Island of Dr Moreau SE with commentary from Stanley

You better wait on DUST DEVIL, because Subversive Cinema is putting out a pull-out-all-the-stops limited edition box of this title, with tons of extra stuff including the entire work print, and all the Richard Stanley documentaries. From a Mobius post by Mr. Subversive himself, Norm Hill:

The UK verison will not have WHITE DARKNESS on it. Nor will it have the same commentary, featurette, docus, or interviews on our upcoming release.

We are preparing a new hi def verison that will be directly transferred of on original 35 mm element and supervised by director Richard Stanley.

We will include a 5.1 and the original stereo 2.0 mix of the director's cut as well as the long lost workprint verison that runs 10 minutes longer then the director's cut.

Anyone picked up the 5 disk set from subversive yet?
It's astounding value. The transfer of Dust Devil DC (here called 'the final cut') is by far the best yet and it finally does justice to Steve chivers brilliant cinematography.

The set is extreamly comprehensive featuring many, many interviews with Dir Richard Stanley all of which are fascinating (If your interested in Voodoo, Nazi occult and 9/11 that is) the commentaries are jam packed and very insightful and the Simon Boswell Dust Devil score (CD) sounds glorious.

I picked this up. It is phenomenal value, and one of those sets where the extras really ramp up the worth of the package. I haven't had time but am really looking forward to exploring all the documentaries.

Subversive are INSANE for letting this puppy out the door for only 30 bones, but I'm not complaining! Fantastic job.
