Dumb question on bi-amping.... (1 Viewer)

I was always under the impression that if you bi-amped your speakers at say 60 Watts to both the High Frequency and Low Frequency drivers that your power output was about the same as 120 Watts in a non bi-amped setup. Is this true or false??

Give or take. But the question is... Unless you're replacing the speaker's internal crossover or you're actually exceeding 60 watts of output does it really make a difference?
