I have a Sony 777es receiver. I have noticed that when using dts a source, I have to set the dts LFE mix higher than the dd to get the same bass output from my sub.

The 777es manual states that a 10db increase for dts is necessary to equal dd. Does anyone have any idea why this is?

There was a SNAFU up-river back when this stuff was all getting finalized. For some reason dts LFE is -10db in some cases. I think it's in the processor on some models / makes.

This was a big topic about 2 weeks ago, too bad you missed it.

Try a search on 'dts LFE' and see what comes up.

    Good Luck -
